The Weekend

I had a great 3 day weekend! I just did not want to come back to work today, ha! I was pretty busy too. My mom and I re-grouted the shower in my master bath. It was a pretty big job that took 8 hours on Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday, but well worth it. This is a "in the middle" picture. We just have to wait 5 days to make sure it is good and dry then we will seal it. I will post a picture of the finished product next week. That's my mom working. She is so great!

And this is Tanner watching us!

I told you I purchased three shelf sitters on Etsy that said Faith, Hope, Love. Well they arrived and this is what I did with them. What do you think? I LOVE it!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Show us where you live Friday!

It's Show us where you live Friday again and today is dining rooms! My dining room is not anything special at all, but once again it serves it's purpose. This is the view from the living room. I love dark furniture so we painted the living area lighter colors. The kitchen and dining room are blue and the living room is yellow. Then I have those brown valances above all the windows and it ties everything nicely together, or so I think so.

This is a little table that I bought and painted brown to match the rest of the furniture. It fits perfectly in this little space. And that is a picture of my niece, Ava. I update it every month because she grows so fast!

This is a painting that I have hanging on the wall in the dining room. I think it goes perfectly with the wall color and I LOVE it! I got it at Flea Market for only $30, frame and all! Can't beat that!

This is above the sliding glass doors. These are the valances I was talking about and I got these dolphins at a Flea Market too.

Here is a close up of the bottom of the dining room table. I love this table too! It is considered a bar table so it sits up high and it has this drawer for storage on the bottom for napkins and placemats.
This is a view from the kitchen. See what I mean about not being anything special, haha! But it's our house and it's nice and cozy. Plus not a whole lot of cleaning, haha!

Well, that's it for my dining room! Hope you enjoyed and have a great weekend! I am so glad that I have a three day weekend!

Weekend Fun

On Saturday we went to my grandma and grandpa's house to visit. My sister was not feeling well so we took my niece with us so she could get some rest. My best friend since 2nd grade, Amanda also went with us and her little boy, Andrew. It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of the day.

Ava loves to read. She will sit in her room and go through all of her books on the book shelves.

She is also a little over dramatic. This is her hanging on the fence, you will see in the next couple of pictures how close to the ground it is, haha! She is too stinkin' cute!

Here she is trying to hide from me.

See how close to the ground, haha! I love her sooo much!

This is my mom and dad's dog, Coco. She's a good little girl!

And this is my beautiful mom with little Andrew. She loves babies so much!

Here is Amanda and Ava. Amanda and I have been through so much together, I don't know what I would do without her!
This is the little man himself, Andrew. He is 7 weeks old! I can't believe how much he is growing and changing so fast! He is such a good baby too!

Ava had enough of the paparazzi for one day, haha!

Ava playing with her toys.

One last picture of my dad. He hates taking pictures so I am surprised I got this one!
On Sunday i just cleaned the house, went grocery shopping and spent the afternoon with my hubby. A nice quiet, relaxing day. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Show Us Where You Live Friday

I am joining Show us where you live Friday at Kelly's Korner. This week is guest rooms. I LOVE my guest bedroom. It is the only room in our house that is actually girly, but I think it's a comfortable room all in all. This is the view from the doorway. I painted the back wall a darker color than the rest of the walls, it is supposed to give the appearance that the room is bigger. The people we purchased this house from left that clock and I loved it!

I found this cute picture at a yard sale for only $5! I think it goes perfectly with this room.
This was my bed before Ben and I got married. It is pretty cute. The comforter and shams were a gift from my mother-in-law one Christmas. I picked the colors for the room from this comforter.

Well, that's it. Hoped you liked it. It's not much but it serves it's purpose! Have a great weekend everyone!

Etsy Finds

Ok, so I told you that I had been purchasing some great things from Etsy lately. Well here they are. I got this extremely cute plate with our initial, last name and the year we were married from The Preppy Polka Dot. I love this plate, I can' t help but look at it everytime I go into my kitchen. She has a lot of colors to chose from and it was only $18! I could not believe how inexpensive they were.

I also had this blank space above my pantry door that I wanted to hang a nice, decorative plate, but I have not been able to find one that I like. So I hung this chabby chic sign that I purchased from Haleys Cottage. I might move it, but it's really cute for now!I just purchased these three shelf sitters for my plant shelves yesterday, so they aren't here yet, but this is what they look like. I purchased these from gratefultulips. This is the picture on the website, so as soon as I get mine and put them up I will post those as well.Well that's all that I have for now. Have a great day!

MIA

So I have not been keeping up with my blog lately, shame on me! Nothing really too exciting going on. I have been reading the other blogs though. I have just been working and taking a summer class at the community college. I have also been purchasing some cute stuff from Etsy so I will take pictures and post them. I will try to post at least once a week from now on, hopefully I can at least maintain that.

Mini Road Trip

On Saturday my sister, Tahlia, my niece, Ava and I took a mini road trip to Ocala to see my sister's mother-in-law. They live on a small horse farm and it is so beautiful up there. Sometimes I wish that I could just stay. Here are some pictures from our car ride.

She is such a character!
