Show Us Your Life - Wedding Dresses

Today is Show Us Your Life - Wedding Dresses over at Kelly's Korner. I was just married in November of 2008 and I absolutely loved my wedding dress! I tried on about 20 dresses, I know very tiring, and this was the last dress I tried on. Since we had been at it for 4 hours I was tired, frustrated and ready to give up. I knew what I wanted but just couldn't find it. When I put my dress on I knew it was the ONE!

My dad walking me down the aisle. The pictures I have on my computer aren't the best, but you can see the dress.

My hubby and I!

Looking back at these pictures make me think about our wedding day. It was a beautiful day and everything was perfect! It just makes me laugh at how long it took us to plan our wedding and then how fast the whole day went, I guess that is why we have pictures and memories! Hope you enjoyed the pictures, have a great weekend!

Nothing Much

As the title says, nothing much has been going on for me. I just finished my first summer class yesterday and I have a week off until the second summer starts. I also have five days off of work next week as well. I don't have anything planned but doing stuff around the house. Tomorrow is my niece, Ava's 2nd birthday! It is so hard to believe that she is already 2, seems like just yesterday I was watching her come into this world! I am sure I will have some pictures from her birthday party tomorrow night, but I will leave you with a couple today.

Here she is when she was a few weeks (or months) old!

Ava reading a card from her 1st birthday party!

And her at her 1st birthday photo shoot!

She is too cute and I love her more than I could ever say!

Randomness

Nothing special happened this weekend. Did some house cleaning, studying and relaxing. These are some pictures from Ben's cousin's graduation party from the weekend before last.

The hubby and I

The hubby, me, his brother and the graduate herself being silly! It was a great day, hot, but fun.

Remember my shower that my mom and I regrouted? Well it was a tough job but well worth it. I think it turned out great! I actually haven't wanted to use it because I didn't want to get it dirty, ha!

I made more purchases on Etsy. This is a cute button collection from bluepearls. It is so cute, I just have to find the perfect place to hang it. I LOVE the distressed frame!

And this letter J (for our last name) was too cute to pass up as well. I LOVE initals, monograms, whatever you want to call them. I got this custom wood letter from JCBloomingBoutique.

Well that's all I have for now, hope everyone had a great weekend!

The Bachelorette

So I LOVE this season of The Bachelorette! I think Jillian is absolutely beautiful and so fun. I have picked my favorite guys for her.

Jake is my number one favorite since the first episode. He is really cute and seems like a lot of fun.
Ed is my second choice. I didn't have Ed picked at first, but when he had his single date with Jillian I couldn't help but like him. He seems so together, but yet ready for a fun, spur of the moment time. My third choice is Kiptyn (I think that's the correct spelling). I liked him too from the beginning. Plus Jillian loves to make out with him, ha! They have a lot of chemistry.

I'd love to know who your favorites are if you watch the show!

Show Us Where You Live Friday

Today is Show us where you live Friday - Office Edition over at Kelly's Korner! I LOVE the color of my office, it is bright green, not sure what the exact name is, but it is so bright and cheerie! This is looking in from the hallway. I searched high and low for the perfect mirror and I absolutely love this one! I also need something to put on that wall under the mirror, it's pretty bare. Any suggestions?

Here's a view of the desk and the curtains that match perfectly with the room! There's a close up of the curtains a little ways down. On that wall (to the left) I am going to hang all my husbands guitars, he has like 5 of them! I saw it on HGTV (one of my FAVORITE channels). In fact, I think I might do that this weekend, ha! I'll post pictures next week if I do.
This is one of the most comfortable chairs ever! And my mom made the blanket on the back of the chair. Don't mind my other printer and lap top on the floor!
A close up of the curtains. When I went searching for curtains I knew exactly what I wanted and found these at Pier 1 on the sales rack!

Of course I had to put Tanner Nanner in there!

Well I hope you enjoyed the tour, have a great weekend everyone!

Wishful Thinking

So this is what I wish my backyard looked like and that I was there right now instead of work, ha!

Isn't it sooo beautiful and peaceful looking?

We do not have an actual screened in patio, just a concrete slab at the time being, but we want to do something similar to this. Just have to find the time to do it. At least it is Thursday, only one more day till the weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

I had a pretty relaxing weekend.

On Saturday I helped my sister paint her guest bedroom and then finished my shower, which I forgot to take pictures, I will have to post them later. Then Saturday night my hubby and I went out to eat with a group of friends. It was tons of fun and I took my camera so I could take pictures, but I didn't take the first one, sorry! We set one of my good friends up with my brother-in-law and this was there first real meeting and I think it went excellent. I LOVE playing match maker, ha!

On Sunday we went to my husband's cousin's high school graduation party. It was nice to see all the family and enjoy great food. I did not take any pictures again, but my mother-in-law did so when she emails the pictures to me I will post them. I was not very good with the camera at all this weekend! Hopefully I will do better, ha! Hope everyone is having a great week.

The Weekend

I had a great 3 day weekend! I just did not want to come back to work today, ha! I was pretty busy too. My mom and I re-grouted the shower in my master bath. It was a pretty big job that took 8 hours on Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday, but well worth it. This is a "in the middle" picture. We just have to wait 5 days to make sure it is good and dry then we will seal it. I will post a picture of the finished product next week. That's my mom working. She is so great!

And this is Tanner watching us!

I told you I purchased three shelf sitters on Etsy that said Faith, Hope, Love. Well they arrived and this is what I did with them. What do you think? I LOVE it!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Show us where you live Friday!

It's Show us where you live Friday again and today is dining rooms! My dining room is not anything special at all, but once again it serves it's purpose. This is the view from the living room. I love dark furniture so we painted the living area lighter colors. The kitchen and dining room are blue and the living room is yellow. Then I have those brown valances above all the windows and it ties everything nicely together, or so I think so.

This is a little table that I bought and painted brown to match the rest of the furniture. It fits perfectly in this little space. And that is a picture of my niece, Ava. I update it every month because she grows so fast!

This is a painting that I have hanging on the wall in the dining room. I think it goes perfectly with the wall color and I LOVE it! I got it at Flea Market for only $30, frame and all! Can't beat that!

This is above the sliding glass doors. These are the valances I was talking about and I got these dolphins at a Flea Market too.

Here is a close up of the bottom of the dining room table. I love this table too! It is considered a bar table so it sits up high and it has this drawer for storage on the bottom for napkins and placemats.
This is a view from the kitchen. See what I mean about not being anything special, haha! But it's our house and it's nice and cozy. Plus not a whole lot of cleaning, haha!

Well, that's it for my dining room! Hope you enjoyed and have a great weekend! I am so glad that I have a three day weekend!

Weekend Fun

On Saturday we went to my grandma and grandpa's house to visit. My sister was not feeling well so we took my niece with us so she could get some rest. My best friend since 2nd grade, Amanda also went with us and her little boy, Andrew. It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of the day.

Ava loves to read. She will sit in her room and go through all of her books on the book shelves.

She is also a little over dramatic. This is her hanging on the fence, you will see in the next couple of pictures how close to the ground it is, haha! She is too stinkin' cute!

Here she is trying to hide from me.

See how close to the ground, haha! I love her sooo much!

This is my mom and dad's dog, Coco. She's a good little girl!

And this is my beautiful mom with little Andrew. She loves babies so much!

Here is Amanda and Ava. Amanda and I have been through so much together, I don't know what I would do without her!
This is the little man himself, Andrew. He is 7 weeks old! I can't believe how much he is growing and changing so fast! He is such a good baby too!

Ava had enough of the paparazzi for one day, haha!

Ava playing with her toys.

One last picture of my dad. He hates taking pictures so I am surprised I got this one!
On Sunday i just cleaned the house, went grocery shopping and spent the afternoon with my hubby. A nice quiet, relaxing day. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Show Us Where You Live Friday

I am joining Show us where you live Friday at Kelly's Korner. This week is guest rooms. I LOVE my guest bedroom. It is the only room in our house that is actually girly, but I think it's a comfortable room all in all. This is the view from the doorway. I painted the back wall a darker color than the rest of the walls, it is supposed to give the appearance that the room is bigger. The people we purchased this house from left that clock and I loved it!

I found this cute picture at a yard sale for only $5! I think it goes perfectly with this room.
This was my bed before Ben and I got married. It is pretty cute. The comforter and shams were a gift from my mother-in-law one Christmas. I picked the colors for the room from this comforter.

Well, that's it. Hoped you liked it. It's not much but it serves it's purpose! Have a great weekend everyone!
